Thank you for the global perspective of your Drasha - With respect to your point about the Rebe's answer regarding why the heart is on the left, I once heard (learned) that the reason the Torah teaches us not to veer from the rulings of our leaders, "from right to left" (Lo Sosur)which begs the question why did the Torah use right and left when it could have just as well have chosen black-and-white, day and night or any other readily recognized opposites. In addition, there appears to be differences in Chazal regarding how we should act if we are absolutely SURE that a mistake is being made (Shochor and Lavan). The answer to both the question of Chazal and the choice of right and left, is because right and left depend on perspective. What is right to me, is left to the person facing me, etc. What we are taught is that our leaders have greater and broader perspective and therefore are given the deference that they richly deserve. However, the issues that Chazal are dealing with are instances (hopefully either theoretical or extremely rare) where we are SURE and it is not a question of perspective but it is an absolute certainty. Without getting into detail, I believe that you very indirectly, obliquely and tangentially may have touched on that point. Once again thank you for your most moving and inspiring Drasha.

This was just fantastic, thank you so much! When I saw it was going to be over three hours I thought I would have to watch it in installments, but instead I was glued to the screen the entire time.

Separately I would like to add that I was also very impressed with the Kapelye, this is the best combining I have heard of absolute authenticity with first-rate musicality, I hope to hear more from them in the future.

Thanks so much. We would be THRILLED post shuirim from teaches of all groups and all types, it is not a problem at all. Rabbi Jacobson too has expressed that he would love to have so many more teachers from diverse backgrounds on diverse subjects. If you know any great teacher who would be willing to have their videos posted on our website, or who would record special shuirim for us, and you would know a sponsor perhaps too, please advise and we will get it done. Yagdil Torah Veyaadir! Just email us at [email protected]

Brownsville, the neighborhood near Crown Heights, following Eastern Parkway Eastbound.
Eastern Parkway and Prospect Place was a really nice big shul, The Chaim Berlin Shul.
That is where the story took place with Reb Mendel Baumgarten.

I spent some time at his yeshiva 17-18 years ago. At that time he would make a annual siyum hashas. Bavli and Yerushalmi. Very excited to hear him.

Rabbi Rudinsky is one of the gedolim of our generation -- he is a Talmid Chacham of gigantic dimensions. His shuirim are incredible and encompass all of Shas. I am so eager to hear his words and his take on the Lubavitcher Rebbe and his lumdos. Thank you so much.
