    Dear Rabbi Jacobson,
I've been learning a lot from your lessons, especially while exercising which is when I go to this great website.
Thank you and brochos to you for continued strength in all areas.

I did have a question from your class. When the fellow who gave the $50 to his friend to be a 50/50 partner had his $50 lifted by the buyer, there was a kinyan at that point to the partnership. The buyer didn't purchase the lottery ticket for himself. He wasn't acting as an individual and he wasn't buying the ticket with 100% of his own money. So how does the buyer argue that there would have to be a kinyan of lifting, of the ticket in order for the purchase to take place? The moment the ticket was purchased it was already owned by the buyer. So why the need for another kinyan? Shalicah shel adam kamosu?
