    The Belzer Rebbe

    Beautifull powerful speeches!

    Just wondering where you heard the story of the Belzer Rebbe went to buy food in middle of the tish (towards the end of the last speech)

    The Rebbes explanation in the gemara in Taanis with R' Elazar is fitting to the one who said it. Someone whose whole life lived with this idea and acted upon it. Only someone who lived this way could see that this is what the gemara is bringing out. Did the Rebee explain how someone is able to shake a person who is so far away that there is nothing to work with?

    Shin Not Sin

    Very geshmak. 
     
    You keep quoting the vort of the alter rebbe on the mishna in zevochim 
    עלה בכבש ופנה לסובב
    You keep saying
    עלה לכבש with a sin
    So I thought all my life I was saying it wrong.. cause I always thought keves with a sin is a sheep and a kevesh with a shin is a ramp.
     
    It was driving me crazy so I went to check, it says kevesh with a shin...
    and it says BAkevesh not LAkevesh with bais and a shin, not a Sin.

    Dear Rabbi Jacobson, this Febrengen was powerful, inspiring and challenging.  I may be naive but I continue to feel that if everyone believed that they were "wondrously made " by a Craftsman, we would have a taste of Gan Eden.  And you really challenged us by suggesting that each one of us has a role to play in  uplifting others.

    Sitting and listening to your words 1:15am. Very powerful, incredible. The way you were metzayer the kedusha of the Rebbe was phenomenal. You brought the Rebbe to life.  Your words were very empowering and uplifting. I just want to say thank you.

Dedicated in memory of Yenta bas Reb Menachem Mendel, who passed away on 2 Shevat, 5778. A sole survivor from the horrors of Auschwitz, she rebuilt a life & family full of faith and kindness. By her son Reb Mendel Zilberberg shlita
