  First, let me say thank you for "We're all Jews..." I found it both informative and entertaining. 

  There is a difference between killing and murder. When you state that George Floyd was murdered by a White policeman you are drawing a legal conclusion that you are not capable of making. Floyd died in police custody; but, his death may be the result of his ingestion of illegal drugs, natural causes, positional asphyxia or a combination of causes. If his death was at the hand of another, it would be a homicide; but, there has been no finding that he was murdered and, to present his death as so implies that the police officer committed the crime of murder. The facts may support that finding, or a lesser crime of manslaughter; however, until then, he is presumed innocent and to say otherwise would amount to lashon hara. Additionally, despite rhetoric to the contrary, there has been no factual account to support that race was a motivational factor in the conduct of the officer or the outcome. Please stop calling the policeman a murderer.

  Rebbe,

  One of my siblings is not talking to one of my parents.  This parent is a narcissist, and I don't know if it is possible to get the parent to hear why my sibling is so hurt by the parent.  I want to bring peace between them, but I don't think it's possible to do it in a way that would be respectful to my parent.  Do you have any advice?

  people tell me that everything you see and hear creates a file in your mind and it never goes away.ive seen a lot of unholy and inappropriate videos and it makes me feel very discouraged and my yetzer hora tells me that theres no point in stopping.how can I do teshuva and be holy if these images in my mind never go away?

    The more positive files one creates the negative ones become less and less significant altho they may sometimes surface.     Mashal fr 1st Spinka Rebbe fr Hungary:  One has a huge cart full of garbage.  Needs to empty it.  One can climb up, get sweaty, dirty, greasy, dusty and dirty, cuts on the hands throwing the stuff off the car     or     one can go to the opposite end  and start loading on pleasant, new, fresh, clean things     and they will push the garbage at the other end out automatically       

    keep moving forward   sounds like you are doing good and will do better and better     it's worth it

    I think it's rather to scare you to not watch than the truth. Bc think about it, you canot remember everything you saw in your life bc of the ability to forget, so why do u think you only can forget the good things and not the bad things ? Mainly, this is what prayer was invented for. Just for ppl like you who have a good heart with evil inclination Hashem never rejects prayer of this sort is what I learned. If you want to come closer to G-d why do you feel he will reject you? Just daven that Hashem help you with this beautiful desire! it says if Hashem doesn't help a person to overcome their natural evil inclination they wouldn't be able to do it. ״אם אין הקב״ה עוזרו, לא יכול לו״ You can ask this desire form him any time in your own words as many time as this thought pops in your head. Not just in the context of a lengthy prayer from a sidder.

  California has the highest intermarriage rate in the country. What can be done to slow this trend? If you say, education, the many Chabad houses and other outreach groups have barely made a dent in this trend? What else can be done?

    Yes California has a high intermarriage rate.  A lot of this comes from the lack of synagogues and Jewish schools in the regions. 

    Now there are many Chabads - but they were not there thirty years ago in nearly every city in California! I came here in 1981.  I found only one synagogue in Fremont and it was a reform which became a Jews for Jesus Church.  Then I moved to Palo Alto.  There was a Chabad but I never knew where. I moved to Redwood City - the only synagogue was refusing to help a single parent with a child for a sliding fee to join.  I then moved to Petaluma, California. I had three miracles (children) only a reconstructionist schul had a "Hebrew school"  But then I had to push to have a weekly school.  Eventually the only schul in Petaluma would allow a Hebrew School.  I was a volunteer there for over 15 years - doing the cooking, snacks, clean up, writing the bulletins, etc.  Finally I found out about a new Chabad in Novato - but by then the kids were grown. How I wish there was one when I needed one.

    However, with the growth of Chabad, I believe that rate will reduce!  May it be!

  Slavery

  I don't know how u'll answer this and I'm asking in advance so as not to put u on the spot. 
  How donwe reconcile the current atmosphere that slavery is evil, with the Torah that endorses it and actually forbids "vhisnachaltem". 
  I'm not referring the off the radar of cruel owners and if one kills his slave within 24 hours is a capital crime.

    Slavory from the Torah of a Jew was only done in two cases 

    A. If a Jew stole and couldn't return it, he had to be sold as a slave by the court to repay what he owes. (and was not held "captive" for more than 6 years. 

    B. If he was so poor that he sold himself as a slave out of chioce in order to sustain himself and his family. 
    
    These are the only two circumstances that slavery was permitted, so what is evil about that? 

    A non-Jewish slave had to convert to Judaism out of choice, in order become a slave for a Jew, if he didn't want to convert, the Jew wasn't allowed to make any profit or sell him to someone else he had to return the potential slave to where he came from without benifiting - in a world where slavery was popular this is the kindest way to go about it giving such freedom of choice and dignity to a slave in an unprecedented way!!! Kidnapping a person and selling him is forbidden by the Ten Commandments when it says dont steal it's referring to stealing ppl and selling them as slaves. according to Jewish laws the slave got the best conditions in the home if one pillow the slave gets it.

      The Torah way of deal with a Jew criminal was more effective than jailing system we have today bc the perpose was to get a positive change with good influence from a moral family rather than a negative influence from a bunch of other criminals.
