Thank you so much for the inspiring lecture on the Rambam and his works.

I wanted to remark, that you missed an important point regarding the Yad Hachazaka, and that is that today one rules not only according to Maimonides but according to the Shulchan Aruch, which is founded mainly according to the Tur, which established its rulings according to the 3 great arbitrators: the Rif, the Rambam, and the Rosh.

The Rambam should thank the church

Everybody knows that a sure fire way to get a best seller, to increase publicity, to generate sales, to become famous, etc., is to have the author's book banned,  or better yet, burned which is more spectacular and makes existing copies more valuable.

    And we see it worked!

I really don't think that the Rambam was interested in more spectacular or to makes his books more valuable

    All modern secular law digests

are organized just as the Rambam first organized Jewish law.

    Question for Rabbi YY

Why is Chabad so busy with the Rambam, more than other Rishonim and Geonim?

Is it only chabad? Every jewish sector is. He was 1 of the most influential Jewish leaders of all time and today highly accepted amongst all. In addition, he was so much more than a leader. Very atypical for the common Rabbi- clearly much to learn from

When a person learns one part of the Torah its not take away from others.

when we learn the Rambam automatic we learn

the Raavad and the Ramban and others its to Add in Torah not to take away.
