Hi. Was just listening to this shiur. It's interesting that you brought up the רב לכם בני לוי but a few pesukim earlier Korach and his cohorts use the same words to Moshe and Aaron. רב לכם why is this not brought up in the Gemara?

Thank you for this class- I found it inspiring. I have a question though which has been weighing on my mind for a long time. You mentioned that "Rav Lach" can mean that Moshe was in some way squashing the dreams of Korach and his group who were wrong in what they did but noble in their passionate desire to be more. I also understood that just as we have big dreams when we are younger, so we should expand our perspective when we are older and not limit ourselves. In this way, we can fulfill our unique mission, tafkid. Here's the question: if we are here in this world to fulfill our tafkid, and when we finish our tafkid, we are no longer "needed" in the world and we die....then I am afraid to reach high and achieve my tafkid because then I'm in some way hastening my death, pushing myself that much closer to finishing my tafkid, after which G-d will remove me from the world.

Their passion was admirable but their goal wasn't

To be kosher one must have kosher means AND kosher kosher ends.

What's the difference between stubborn and perseverance

I think these are generally regarded as synonymous. Synonyms. 2 ways to say the same thing.

    I disagree.

I say that when you DISAGREE with the goal of the person holding steadfast, you call it stubborn.

But if you AGREE with his goal then it's called perseverance.

Same thing. Same conduct even.. but from the perspective of the observer: With one you agree on the goal and the other you disagree.
