Based on that concept of הזן את העולם in ברכת המזון , focusing on the whole world as opposed to just thanking G-d for sustaining me and my family. Why? Since we are all being משפיע each other constantly and learning from one another. I was thinking that also in the ברכה of בורא נפשות we have a similar theme: בורא נפשות רבות וחסרונן. He has created souls....both with their strengths and also their חסרונות-their weaknesses. Just as you mentioned about the 'give and take' imbedded in the nature of man- we all need each other and no one is perfect. Similarly, after drinking water or another שהכל food or drink, ( which we likely say many many times each day) we remind ourselves of this idea that we all need each other in life. It is not only humbling but also a big Chizzuk. I acknowledge and recognize that I am not perfect and that's ok. We were created as humans to learn from our mistakes and to learn from each other.
