Will the Real Moshiach Stand Up?

Why does the Rambam call this Parsha “Parshas Bilaam”? Do we believe in one or two Moshiach's? What is going to happen to the Non-Jews when Moshiach comes? Why were these prophecies said by two non-Jews, Bilaam and Ovadya?

    Yoseph,

The Likutiei Sichos shiurim are the same as all the shiutim on Yeshiva.net. If you click with the mouse on the bottom of the screen, you will see that you have the option to rewind.

The wooden handle of the ax
    Chaim,

This is a subject is discussed in many places in Chassidus Chabad. In brief:

First and foremost - See Tanya chapter 31. Likutei Sichos vol. 17 page 190.

In a Farbrengen from 5740 (Vayishlach),(and Shabos hagodol 5730 and many more) the Rebbe explains that generally this saying is brought down as an analogy to the concept known in Chassidus as "ishapcha" (transformation - vs. subjugation),

In other words, the idea is not to "burn down" the forest and turn the wood into "ashes" (that would be a "waste"), rather, to "transform" the wood that it can be used properly (for fire, furniture etc.). As long as the wood is part of the tree you cannot use it for fire or build furniture etc.; In order to turn the wood into useful material, it has to be chopped.

So we utilize wood (the handle of the ax) for chopping the wood of the forest so now (because it was chopped) it can be useful for all kinds of puposes.

This transformation - "Ishapcha" - is one of the highest levels in the service to Hashem.

[For futher elaboration on this subject, (for example: the actual part of the ax that chopps the wood is the metal not the wood, the wood is only a "handle" - see the explanations of the Rebbe to Tanya chapter 31, that the "forest" refers to "Klipas Noga" etc.]

    Keep those comments coming!

    Wishing you much Hatzlocho!

    Meaning
Is there a deeper meaning to the saying  "from the forest itself you get the handle of the ax" not just a technical analysis?
