  Daas /awareness during eatinf

  It's quite fascinating you mentioned the Gemorah in Brochos about awareness during the meal time as establishing the commencement and termination of the meal. 

  Author of psychology of Eating-Marc David elaborates on this phenomenon that the more a person is aware of the food they are eating, the more micronutrients are absorbed and assimilated by the metabolism.

  He further explains that the opposite is true, if someone is talking to you while you are eating and your are actually listening, only 5 percent of the micronutrients gets absorbed by the metabolism as fuel for the body.

  It's interesting, I work with a security guard who was a next door neighbor to Harav Hamukabal Yitzhak Kaduri and he told me that the tzadik didn't even have a sefer open when he was eating. 

  Total consciousness. 

  I guess science is proved today, what the Talmud succinctly stated few millenia ago.

  Rabbi Jacobson so eloquently explained the אחדות of עקודים and used a line than all מדות are saying the same thing but in different vocabulary it would follow then maybe to say...

  משום הכי מקום גילוי העקודים הוא בפה דא"ק כי רק בפה שייך לגלות דבר אחד בכמה מיני אותיות , ולהכי נמי פ"ה הוא ס"ג עם כ"ב אותיות שמלבד מה שכאן נעשה שורש האותיות, נרגש מהות עקודים, שהחילוק בין הספריות הוא דוקא באותיות שלהם, משא"כ נקודים הוא מהעינים כי מה שרואין א"א להיות אחר ממה שרואין ובראיית מדה אחת אין כאן התכללות שכל מה שרואה הרי הוא רואה כמות שהוא, ותיקון בא ממצח שהוא מקום המחשבה כי במחשבה יכול לכלול ב' הפכים ויכול ליקח הנקודה שנתגלה בעינים ומבין בתוכו שאינו רק כמו שרואה אלא שיש פנימיות יותר ממה שרואה וזהו התכללות ותיקון
