Eved Knaani during the times of the Tanaim
There is a story of a man writing a will, during the times of the second Bais Hamikdosh, in which he wrote that his son should pick something of the estate for himself when the time comes. the on was overseas when his father passed away, came back and the slave had taken over the estate. The son went to i think Rabbi Gamliel, or Rabbi Eliezer, for advice. Of course he got help, as he was advised to pick the slave.
This was during the time - or after ? the second Bais Hamikdosh.
