    Somoene asked...

Some (unwell) people hate or dislike themselves. They treat themselves that way. should we then do and treat them the same to them as they are doing to themselves?

I think if we are able to forgive ourselves we are able to forgive others too and vica versa. similarly if we can love ourselves we can love others too and vica versa. I also think if we truly love HaShem we are able to love it's Yiddens irrespective of their flaws. And if we truly feel HaShem loves us irrespective of our flaws why can't we love each other?

Isn’t there a higher self-love where I WANT to know what my deficiencies are in order to become the best I can be?

The golden rule stated in the positive or negative has nothing to do with the half of the Torah being adam lemokom. essentially the Nazarite cut the Torah in half and kept only the golden rule half. So too 1800 years later reformed Judaism did the same.

We are all part of one body so just as one part of a body loves (and needs) the other parts to function properly. But....we see that many engage in self injurious behaviors! too much food, alcohol, drugs, etc. others cut themselves. some even commit suicide. then there are those with epilepsy where they hurt themselves. can these self injurious behaviors, intentional or unintentional, can be compared to jews who hate, self hating jews, etc?
