This is how you learn Gemara, it is clear and understandable Very enjoyable, Only a waste, that do not learn that way in lah"k, or Yiddish. and in a normal yeshivos.

RESPONSE TO "WHY" The fact that תוספות asks that there should be כרת by הנאה (for the תורה writes כי כל אוכל חמץ ונכרתה) indicates that the translation of the word אכל means הנאה as well; otherwise what is תוספות question!

Why does the Ran think that tosfos learns lo sochlu to mean hono'o, maybe he learns it lo sochloo - eating and hano'o as well? What compels the ran to learn tosfos in such a far fetched manner?
