  Watching your pre selichos program, amazing as always. You posed a question regarding the משנה of אמר ר׳ עקיבא pointing out that the words את הטמאים is superfluous since it goes without saying that we are discussing someone who is impure. In that case I think the question goes further when the משנה states אף הקדוש ברוך הוא מטהר את ישראל, the words metaher את ישראל are also seemingly superfluous since it could have simply stated מה מקוה מטהר אף הקב״ה?

  Were women invited? Were they off camera? If you're using Reb Shlomo's format, I hope they were invited. Shlomo didn't exclude women.

    R Shlomo took what he felt were the positive elements of other styles and blended them into his own style. These people follow his example and take what they feel are the positive elements of R shlomo and incorperate them into their own style. (Of course Rabbi J doesnt exclude women but he does do events for men only as well as events for women only. But thats besides the point)
