The father leaves behind an inheritance to 7 children
Thereby multiplying the possible mitzvos that could be done by 7. But....it could have been that the father himself was one of 7 or whatever and so the zayde's property was split into 49 (assuming 7.kids each had 7 kids, etc.), etc., and so on and so forth going back up the family tree.

And from creation of day one, when it was unknown except to the creator, how many days would come from that one, came 7 days.
