    I've told many people in my practice who had expressed a tense situation at home to make beleive it is a Purim shpiel.

    We learnt once that the preparation for

    Teshuva, is an aveirah! No aveirah, no teshuva. 

    And, Hashem desires teshuva,  more than perfection.  How to arrange teshuva?

    Get Adam and Chava to sin. Get the world at the time of the Mabul to sin. Get the yidden at Mattan Torah to sin (yoma 4b says yidden not capable of the chsit ha'egel, rather they were framed). 

    And get the yidden to sin in the Purim story.

    Notice the aveirah of the chait ha'egel came AFTER mattan Torah, whereas the yidden sinned (and did teshuva) BEFORE the salvation of Purim. 

    Therefore, Purim is on that way, higher than Mattan Torah.  And our acceptance of Torah was confirmed and solidified only at Purim.
