    question 2
The verse says es korbani (Torah) lachmi lishay (prayer) Reyach Nichochi (the effect) tishmaru(should stay down here through Torah). Why in the beginning of the verse does Torah come before tefillah?

    question
The mamaar is saying that through Torah one draws down Hashem. The maamar then goes on to explain how one part of Torah is more spiritual and one more physical. why do we need the spiritual part (the names of Hashem) after having davened already?

    exact mashal?
The point being discussed is the descent of the fire from above because of the fire which consumes the animal below which we bring. The fire comes AUTOMATICALLY down when the fire goes up.

The nimshal is that we through our davening arouse a fire within ourselves i.e. our animal soul, which we are offering up and this causes a revalation of sovev kol almin in this world. Why then do we need the action (which is an addition to the sacrifice)? On the other hand, it seems that the action is touching a place that the emotion cannot reach and if that is so, why the emotion?

The mamaar then goes on to say that shachrit and mincha both cause an ascent AND a descent, without action?

" the link is http://theyeshiva.net/Video... I clicked on "Previous Class" several times.
