This class really touched me. I graduated UCBerkeley as a rhetoric major and the experience deconstructed me to the extent that my world had no walls, buildings or foundation. Upon graduation I wondered in the carribean and central america for 8 months until I made my way to eretz yisrael, where I began to rebuild my world. I found that touching the place where everything is relative, a place without axioms actually brought me to Judaism like a drowning man reaching for a buoy. The place of goral and randomness is very real and very alive. Your discussion provided a powerful language for discussing this modern phenomena.
