The lesson of Acharei is also reflected in the relationship between Pesach and Shavuot .
The inspiration of the Seder night (Achat) is extended for seven weeks (Sheva) in order to be worthy of receiving the Torah

    lets enjoy
cant we enjoy our high while it lasts, i like to perserve my highs for holiness and take the lows as they come, why should we be thinking of the most crude matters while we are enjoying intimate moments with G-D doesnt it defeat the purpose i understand taking on the general feeling of being self-subserviant but to go into the details of the negetive that will come? i dont get it.

Do We Really Have a Choice?
    Bs"d

Today , the  11th of Iyar, marks the passing of my brother Michoel HaLevy brn Yohoshua. In 1964 ,he gave this almost identical vort over to me when I was twelve years old(he was 17).It is making me a little mishuggah because he wasn't religious,he was a hippie, never kept Shabbat ( we were like tinukot nishbot in the world of SF in the fifties) and my mom escaped the Nazis by living in a German convent raised by nuns, vet she was a Jew.

I have no idea how he knew these lofty notions, nor why he took the pseudonym Michael Light...maybe I do now. We are all one being of light.

    Most astounding shiur,Rv. Jacobson.

    Acharei Mos
    Dear Rabbi,
I love you so much. Your way of teaching is so beautiful and wonderful. I wish the feelings and thoughts you bring out in me were money so I could give back to you. My wife and I are flat broke and we may even loose our home. All that you said is so true to me. Up, down in less than an hour. It's the Acharei that scares me the most. Actually the whole of existance is very frightening to me. Hashem scares me. I hope some people with money do give to you so you can continue. I, for one, certainly need you.
